the rooms were amazin
Friendly and helpfull staff, peace to relax in bedroom in afternoon after a walk through the lovely grounds, before enjoying a lovely meal in the restaurant in the evening.
staff very efficent and very helpful ,the location, good setting ,great grounds .
A luxury break in the country side. Staff were friendly and helpful. Meals were excellent. Hotel in general was excellent, clean and added to the luxurious stay. I will certainly be returning and recommending to friends & family.
Only minor point which does not distract from our stay was the breakfast appeared to be disorganised and slow. Perhaps staff would be better to greet patrons and to explain to them to make their own toast and order their eggs! - especially to patrons who are staying for the first time.
Yery relaxing environment
friendliness of the staff -- extremely obliging and wanting to make our stay as pleasant as possible. The service was personal and of the highest standard-- This was so much better than staying in a modern group hotel Food was excellent and the grounds were lovely for walks . Also very close to the City for culture/ leisure/ shopping and to beautiful scenery in Northern Ireland and also easy access to Donegal Ideal spot for tourists Can't recommend highly enough
Beech Hill is a superb hotel, I would have no hesitation in staying here again, in fact we hope to do so soon. The staff are excellent, every one is there to make your stay more pleasurable. The hotel is set in beautiful grounds, 32 acres which makes for lovely, if a little muddy, walks. The only issue we had was the fab roll top bath in the bedroom had no hot water supply which was a bit disappointing. We were told that an engineer was on his way to fix this. All in all, I'd definitely recommend staying at Beech Hill.
Stayed as part of family wedding party. Friendly relaxed atmosphere. Despite being the 4th wedding in 4 days received impeccable service. Food was delightful and general feeing of relaxation and comfort
We happened to be there as a wedding was in progress and the band played until 1:30 in the morning
Driving in was like being in another era. The gate house is a small old stone cottage and the driveway winds in past mature deciduous trees and passing ponds and a waterfall with an old water wheel. Then the portico and the multil story building looms up and you can see into the dining area where breakfast is served overlooking lawns, the other waterfall and the park like setting. The staff are extremely helpful and really, it is the history of the venue itself and its setting down a country lane out of town that really make it different. My room was the Senator Suit - chanedellier and all- which was huge and had a king size canopied bed, antique mirros and furniture and a bay window overlooking the lawns and waterfall. My only comment would that in the bathroom the corner shower might be a challenge for a bigger person - but it has authenticity as being updated probably 20 or 30 years ago. I would certainly not let that detract from the overall superb experience of staying there. The staff were upgrading paths through the woods on the property to provide even more walking tracks.
Lovely old Country Inn with lots of history .Excellent customer service, nothing was too much bother for them. The food here is superb and The Inn is set in beautiful gardens with relaxing riverside walks .We will be back soon
It was very comfortable very friendly staff that nothing was too much bother. Enjoyed the food and the wedding we attended.
likd the location of the hotel and the fact that you could go for a relaxing walk around the lovely grounds. Also liked the size of the rooms etc. The staff were extremely helpful and arranged an early check in for us as reason for trip was to attend family funeral.
Staff helpful and friendly.
I didnt like the room that was used for dinner and breakfast as it lacked the same character as the rest of the hotel. It would also help to have some background music as it was very quiet.
Beautiful location and excellent hotel with lots of old fashioned charm and hospitality! Loved the food at dinner and the relaxed atmosphere in the lounge bar. Would stay again! Our room was excellent!
